25. Sweptail by Rolls Royce – $13 million
The Rolls-Royce Sweptail tops this list. It is the most expensive car in the world and a one-off large luxury car made in the United Kingdom. This car is fully hand-built and inspired by coach-building of the 1920s and 1930s. The Sweptail was commissioned bespoke in 2013 as a one-off automobile, at the request of a super-yacht and aircraft specialist who had a unique idea in mind.
This car is off-market because it was made on the recommendations of one specific customer whose name the company has refused to divulge. The Rolls-Royce Sweptail is a two-seater car; the sunroof is fully panoramic, tapering down sharply like the racing yachts. Perhaps, the customer who ordered the car is a yacht enthusiast.
Another interesting part to take note is that the interior of the car is handcrafted with wood and leather that are hidden for holding laptops behind each door. There is not much information available on this “most expensive car in the world”, but from the price tag, you can tell that it is going to be a super luxury with crazy features. Giles Taylor, director of design at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars described the Sweptail as “the automotive equivalent of Haute couture”
